Releases in 1993, Super Mario Bros. was a film loosely based on the Super Mario Bros video game.

The movie followed the exploits of Mario Mario played by Bob Hoskins and his brother Luigi Mario played by John Leguizamo.

King Koopa was played by Dennis Hopper and it was the first ever major motion picture to be based on a video game.

Here are some facts about Petey Piranha…

Petey Piranha first appeared as the primary boss of Bianco Hills in Super Mario Sunshine.

Petey Piranha is known as Boss Packun in Japan.

Normal Piranha Plants usually grow from pipes but Petey’s leaves and roots have grown into foot-like and arm-like appendages.

Petey is a larger and much more powerful version of a Piranha Plant which is the result of mutation.

Petey can use his leaves to fly around in the air.

He has also appeared as a boss in games such as Super Princess Peach, Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, New Super Mario Bros and Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Petey Piranha also acts as a playable character in spin-off Mario games like Mario sports games and in Mario Kart Double Dash.

A dinosaur-like version of him called Dino Pirahna also appears as the first episode boss in Super Mario Galaxy.

Mr. L Facts

Here are some facts about Mr L…

Mr. L is the brainwashed form of Luigi in Super Paper Mario.

He is created by Dimentio to use as a minion to tackle Mario, Princess Peach and Bowser.

He is battled by the player several times: twice using a machine known as the “Brobot” and as the game’s final boss when he is fused with Dimentio.

Here are some facts about Kamek…

Kamek is a Magikoopa who acts as Bowser’s caretaker during Bowser’s childhood and one of his high-ranking minions afterwards.

Kamek first appears as the main antagonist of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island.

Kamek can perform various feats of magic, such as self-duplication, teleportation, shooting magical blasts and changing the size of other creatures.

In Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii, Kamek is only a minor obstacle.

Kamek appears throughout the Mario Party series most commonly as an orb summon and or a boss.
