Here are some facts about Poochy…
Poochy is a dog like creature that first appears in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island where he could be found in few levels and could be ridden by Yoshi over spikes and into enemies, who are instantly destroyed upon touching Poochy.
In Tetris Attack, Poochy is among the denizens of Yoshi’s Island who are brainwashed by Bowser and Kamek; Yoshi must defeat Poochy in battle to free him from this brainwashing.
In Yoshi’s Story, Poochy appears in some levels, but is smaller and can not be ridden, and can only be used to sniff for buried treasures.
